What does summer 2024 bring us?
Pedicure trends have been different from manicure trends for many years now. First of all, this is due to the technology of decorative coatings: on the feet, for example, voluminous designs are prohibited because they put extra stress on the nails in shoes and can lead to onycholysis (departure of the nail from the bed) in just three weeks! Therefore, pedicure fashion is developing primarily in the direction of healthy nails.
How do you safely decorate your toenails and keep up with fashion?
We paint our nails with varnish
Yes, yes, you didn’t think so. Varnish coatings are again a bright pedicure trend. You can do this pedicure at home or with a salon specialist if it’s difficult to curl up to paint your nails carefully. Choose any color that harmonizes with your shoes, but combining it with polish on your hands is unnecessary.
The advantage of varnish coatings is that they do not allow nails to curl. The thin coloring layer does not add volume, is not felt in shoes, and is safe even for nails that tend to move away from the bed. Profit!
Pedicure with films
“What kind of animal is this? – you ask. — Sliders? Stickers?” Not really. This separate coating technology allows you to complete a reasonably complex design in a matter of seconds.
If you remember, about seven years ago, they tried to enter the market with Omnia thermal films, which then no one understood: expensive, you need additional heating equipment, it holds up as it should, the installation is like dancing with tambourines – in general, covering it with gel polish and sticking a slider on top turned out to be much easier.
Today’s films are old technology polished to perfection. The master performs a regular clean pedicure, measures the nail’s width, adjusts the film to size, and carefully glues it. Regular nails can be covered with a top coat, but capricious and curling ones are better left without it.
It is performed faster than usual by coating by about 20 minutes, lasts like gel polish for 3-4 weeks, and can be removed non-traumatically – with liquid and pulled off with a stick. The choice of designs is gigantic – for every taste and whim! One downside is the cost is relatively high, so a pedicure with films will cost 500 rubles more than usual.
Single-phase coatings
And this is our old friend: colored gel polish that can be applied to the nail immediately, without a base. And do not cover it with the top. Such coatings have not performed well on hands: everyday household stress kills them in 7–10 days. But on the feet, good single-phase ones stand as if glued until you get tired of them. This type of safe coating looks like a regular gel polish and dries just as well in a lamp, but in the end, it has no thickness, so it does not provoke ingrowth and curling of the nail plates.
They came in shades to suit every taste: glitter, basic glossy, and a matte finish – match your favorite sandals, wear them safely, and be beautiful!
